  1. He's speaking facts. In the 2 Bundesliga it's genuinely a lot of fun. Plus so entertaining to watch which fallen giant may rise again.

If we can get Schalke, FCK, Hamburg, Hertha, Nurnberg, Hannover and Dusseldorf back to the top flight and replace the smaller clubs, we'll have the Bundesliga back.

  2. Schalke and Hamburg should just get their s**t together, they have everything they need to be successful (size, fans, engagement, marketing potential, Hamburg has 1.7 million inhabitants to boot), its their own fault.
And as somebody who is too young to have seen Kaiserslautern's glory days, I would rather see Augburg. Augsburg is in the Bundesliga since 2011, they belong there.

  3. I feel like the 2nd Bundesliga is becoming what the championship is in Englang! A main stay 2nd flight league with no shame in being in and it's own very entertaining games without having too much of the huge money drama of top flight leagues, meaning that the average football fan can go enjoy these games just as much, if not more! I feel it's a shame this is due to mismanagement often, but it shows that this isn't a bad outcome with new teams coming up to the top, whilst historically bigger teams provide a big stand for entertaining fights down in the second tier to try get back to the top!

  4. The Bundesliga should have 36 teams, not 18. 18 teams is not enough especially when there are so many smaller clubs promoting to the Bundesliga and bigger clubs relegating to the 2. Bundesliga.

  5. Portugal is kind of in the same situation. There are not many people going to the stadiums (apart from the “big 3”) because football mentality is shit here, tho

  6. I see it so since 2-3 years ago. Germany is big and have just 18 teams in the 1. Division. The clubs have enough money from the funs and the league have market value In spain or in italy the second leagues is nothing…

  7. Times are changing. That's how as it is. If clubs with a budget of Schalke or Hamburg that played in european competitions for years and earned a lot money there. They just deserve to be in the 2nd league if they are outcompeted from clubs like Darmstadt or Heidenheim.

  8. I don’t rly see how it’s bad, I mean it’s sad for the former giants, but I mean u have to give it to the smaller clubs that have done it, for them to be able to be doing this, in one of the hardest league pyramids in the world, you have to admit that what they are doing is amazing
