I see different variations of the scenario at 0:44 every week all around europe.Two players racing to the ball, the defender CLEARLY beats the attacker for pace, to the point where he can comfortably get his entire body between the ball and the attacker without having to push or handfight. By rule he now has posssion of the ball, the attacker who was beaten for pace then forearm shove (like in this video) or maybe grab and pull the defender to use his own momentum against him, or maybe just put both hands on the defenders back and push him down, arms fully exstended not even bothering to be sneaky about it. Can someone explain to me why the defender, who technically now is in possesion of the ball, rarely gets that call? Imagine if a winger was about to take on a full back, but the opposing winger tracs back and just shoves him in the back? That would be called every time, as far as I know its legally the same thing
