As far as I remember, this was the first game that Pep decided to implement 3 defenders formation. J. Martinez got injured in this game and was sidelined for one year. Pep decided to go back to the old formation, 4 defenders. If he hadn't done that, Bayern would've ended up in catastrophe that season.

The first "serious" game of the season for BVB. It looked quite promising. And then … The first 10 league games of the season – 7 out of 30 possible points. Bayern 1st, Borussia 17th. A terrible start.

This game was a disappointment for us Bayern fans as we had lost against BVB.

This league is the most corrupted league of all of Europe no wonder Bayern have DFB in their pockets bribing them and making this league the least competitive league in Europe that's why I no longer watch Bundesliga and why would I while knowing Bayern is going to win this league for the next 10 years it's just a pathetic league that doesn't deserve to be included in the top 5 leagues in Europe.
