Man United are not set to give up on the chase of RB Leipzig star Konrad Laimer as Bayern Munich push for a move as well. The 25-year-old midfielder has a €25m price tag, which should not be a problem for either of the interested teams.

Ralf Rangnick, who managed the Red Devils on an interim basis, suggested Konrad’s name to the club’s board, who are now eager to complete a move for the midfielder. Man United need reinforcements in the midfield, having lost both Matic and Pogba this summer.

Laimer has been with the Bundesliga giants since the 2017 summer when he joined from sister club RB Salzburg. Austria international has since played 159 games for the German club, scoring 11 and assisting 18 goals.

A sure-shot starter since the 2019/20 campaign, the Austrian midfielder is known for his versatility and is well-versed with the high-pressing system as well, and could be a good fit into ten Hag’s side at Man United. However, RB Leipzig would rather sell the Austrian to a foreign club, which puts Man United in the pole position for his signature.

Erik ten Hag is also plotting a move for ex-Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong. The Barcelona midfielder also looks open to a move to Theatre of Dreams, and the club are confident of completing the deal. But they are also wary of Barcelona increasing their demands at the last minute and do not want to commit an outlandish sum.

German giants, Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set Jude Bellingham’s price tag at £103m amid interest from Man Utd.

With Erling Braut Haaland having made the move to Manchester City earlier this summer, the England international is now a main player at Dortmund and the German giants not planning to lose him for less then £103m.

In his two years at the Westfalenstadion, the teenager has been a revelation, already establishing himself as the heartbeat of the team in his 89 games.

Bellingham, who become 19 years of age on Wednesday, has also managed to found the back of the net 10 times and provided 18 assists, largely from the middle of the pitch.

At a time when he has three years left on his current deal, Dortmund have no intention of entertaining any proposals for the player this summer.

However, unless Bellingham pens a new deal over the next 12 months, there is every expectation that he will be allowed to move on for the right price.

According to Bild, the German giants intend to demand in the region of £103m for a player who is being tipped to become one of the best playmakers in the world for years to come.

That alleged decision comes off the back of Bellingham contributing four goals and 11 assists from his 38 games in Germany’s top flight and the Champions League in 2021-22.

Bellingham is not short of admirers and it was claimed earlier this week that Real Madrid were already planning to put forward a proposal in 2023.

Club officials allegedly view the former Birmingham City youngster as the perfect addition to form a midfield trio alongside Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni.

However, that particular report claimed that Los Blancos were only prepared to offer £77m, a figure which would seemingly be rejected out of hand.

Liverpool and Manchester United have also been linked with Bellingham in the past, the suggestion being that the latter would emerge as a realistic destination should they achieve Champions League football for 2023-24.

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Hoffenheim left-back David Raum, Sky Germany reports.

The Red Devils are set for a mini-squad rebuild this summer and new manager Erik ten Hag may have plans to bolster multiple positions.

A central defender could be one of the top priorities, but the Dutch tactician may also consider upgrading his full-back options for next season.

In that case, Raum would be a quality signing for United, and Sky Germany claims that they would have an advantage over Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign the talented defender.

Raum currently has a £26 million buy-out clause in his contract, as per the news outlet, but that does not become active until the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign.

Dortmund are reluctant to pay more than that figure. Hence, United have the chance to sign him for around £34m this summer, but face competition from West Ham and Newcastle.

Raum joined Hoffenheim on a free transfer from Greuther Furth last summer, and had a stunning debut season with three goals and 13 assists from 32 league appearances.

The 24-year-old operated from both the left-back and left wing-back positions for the Bundesliga outfit and he is now regarded as a mainstay in the Germany squad.

With his drastic improvement, Hoffenheim seem prepared to cash in this summer. They have the opportunity to sell him for a much higher fee than his release clause.

United are deemed to be interested, but any move from the club could be dependent on either Luke Shaw or Alex Telles being shown the exit door this summer.

Shaw and Telles made five goal contributions apiece last term, but the duo looked vulnerable defensively.

In Raum, United would get someone, who is solid in both departments. He has excelled with his ball progression and key passes, but can also win regular duels.

The £34 million price tag is justifiable for a player, who managed 16 goal involvements.
