The Premiere League has its problems to and that problem is only getting worse. City won 2 of 5 titles from 2011/2012 to 2016/2017 or a third of the titles, but from 2017/2018 to the present, 5 seasons, City won 4 of 5. They now have Haaland. They may need to institute something similar to the NFL draft rule. Part of the reason you don't see such rules is because the English want to have the best team in the world and unlimited money fuels that hope! It also fuels the disparity that has produced an EPL that is in reality two leagues: a league at the top consisting of just 2 teams; and then everyone else!
Their is no completion in the German league that's why it's boring.
Load of nonsense. Competition is not about the top spot but about the overall ratio and the Bundesliga is fine as it is.
50+1 is a thing you can experience. There are clubs in the German third league that have more spectators than clubs in EPL or La Liga. Going to German football games is about celebrating football
hahahaha, bayern can´t compete. they won the champions league 2 years ago….
Uli’s last name sums up why he thinks the way he does lol
Germans have integrity
Money from subhuman criminals from Asia and middle east injects in European corrupted clubs only bring criminals such :child molesters, cat kickers, dog and cat torturers, wildlife criminals from South/Central America and Africa
Love the tie, Stevie!
Good we need some arsenals and Man Uniteds in there
when Jurgen Norbert Klopp leaves Liverpool , I'd like him to go and win the league for Napoli but I'd love him to go back to Dortmund and stop that Bayern Monopoly
Liverpool are always the benchmark
The German "League" is a joke. Why don't they just give Bayern the title in August and let the rest fight it out for the UCL and relegation places? You might as well
He is saying it because he is now former president..
FARMERS LEAGUE
What diffence would a Change make? Bayern would generate far More Money than the Rest of the League . The gap between them and the Rest would get far bigger.
Why do you guys keep asking a Ex Dortmund and Ex Frankfurt player about Bayern??
This Jan guys know nothing about Bayern ffs stop it ESPN
Players can say no. It's been happening for AGES. RB's players are also keen to jump like BVB, so obviously the league will depreciate
the sell outs from espn and the epl want every league to be as spinless as them
Hahaha them you remember that Bayern had Ribery Robben Muller Neuer Lahm Schweinsteiger and that Bayern would won Premier League like 6 years in a row with team. Premier league was poor next to Bayern players in that era.
I am proud of the 50+1 rule. Germany has some of the best atmospheres and fan cultures in Europe, Always packed games, always affordable, the beer is affordable. and German teams have won the Champions League and the Europa League more recently than French or Italian clubs, so I'm unsure why people are saying German clubs cannot win in Europe.
I personally would hate if my team was bought by some war criminal while the fans lose their say in the club… I'm proud of our teams winning in Europe DESPITE the 50+1 rule. But also they should into breaking Bayern's iron grip on the league, which as is mentioned in the video wont be guaranteed if the rule is abolished, as then Bayern will have even more money.
ucl champions 2 years ago, European cup champions this year… what is uli on about?
If it wants to be more competitive in the modern era it has to get rid of that rule for sure. Clearly 50+1 is not working
What about premier League now
no wonder lewandwoski hhad so many goals last 2 ,3 season
I think get rid of 50+1 but has 55/45 so the fans the 45 of the choices so it doesn’t become another man united
They don't need to do all this. All they need to do is install a wage cap. cut Bayerns wage bill by 50% and the league becomes 1,000xs more competitive and it doesn't change anything for the other clubs.
I'd be surprised if very many people outside of Germany (or are German nationals in other countries) watch Bundesliga.
Well in the past years English teams have been buying more talents from Bundesliga than Bayern, if this trend continues we'll have to go to London to see best German players play each week. There is no way Bundesliga teams can compete with billionaire club owners who spend money for fun. Something has to change, maybe Germany can return the tax money from players contracts to the clubs, that way the club's spending power can become maybe twice as much
Go away… premier league is the best league. People will still watch the premier league. No1 cares about bundesliga except for Germans. All the best players need to come to premier league and compete with the best
Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Hoffenheneim all are not subject to 50+1 and for all intents and purposes RB have gutted 50+1. Over the last two years Jetta’s main investor has spent €250 million on players. Why haven’t they challenged Bayern?
So Jan is saying german fans are racist, and they won't accept arab money ?
This is how u know how big Real Madrid is, 100% owned by fans No 50+1 No arabs money
Bundesliga should remove 50+1 rule or at least allow german investors to buy the club..this league is going nowhere with 50+1
Funny how PSG's dominance in ligue 1 is derided and I'd used to explain why they won't win the CL but it's never used against Bayern
They are obsessed with us! Uniformed! Newcastle United fans was celebrating Mike Ashley leaving! I love how we are rattling the elite! Haha
Can't think why the former Bayern President would want to get rid the 50+1. They're the only club that would benefit from 50+1 being removed
